My passion for the outdoors and fishing started through my grandparents and parents. The first trip to Rockport in the late 1960’s inspired me to want to live, hunt, and fish here. In 1997, my young family and I moved here. After moving here, with encouragement from friends and other guides, I started guiding in 2003. I fished the professional redfish tournaments for 6 seasons around the coastal bend. Fishing here for over 40 years has given me the knowledge I need to have the best possible chance at putting clients on the fish.

From the most experienced to the first timer, wading, drifting, or anchored in the boat. With bait or artificials, we can get it done. Fishing from Laguna Madre to San Antonio Bay, we will target trout, redfish, or drum, depending on the season and conditions. This includes the Presine Flats in Estes, Aransas Bay, Corpus Bay, Redfish Bay, Carlos Bay, Mesquite Bay, Copano Bay, and surrounding waters.

CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY
Spend a relaxing afternoon into the evening, drifting the bay waters around Rockport, waiting for the excitement. When the reel starts screaming from the furious run of the shark, the work begins. The fight can last hours, depending on the shark’s size. We mainly catch blacktip and bull sharks. Bycatch of gafftops and stingrays are common.
