We fished with Captain Jared and it was AWESOME! My father-in-law and I loved being able to catch fish almost continuously. We started the day with dolphins in the harbor and we went directly to the hot spots. It was great because he talked us through the process and made sure to adjust so we can get the fish.
I will go again when I come down because it was so easy! ALSO, booking with captain Matt was also easy and he listened to what I wanted to do and boy did he crush it. We were able to eat delicious fish and have a blast. Thank you 850 charters. We will be back.
Matt was a great charter captain that put on a fantastic inshore fishing experience. My buddy Seth and I went today and were excited to be out in the water fishing. Matt had everything prepped and gave us a run down on the game plan. He is very polite and will gladly talk with you about the fishing scene, local area, or anything really. We caught a ton of Spanish mackerel, a few false albacore, and catch and release amberjack (since they weren’t in season). We had nonstop action the entire trip. Matt was happy to give educational pointers on reeling in fish. This really was the ideal inshore charter and will be going back when I’m back in Destin!
Great day on the water with Captain Matt!
Captain Matt and his crew made sure we found fish. We caught a ton of red snapper, triggerfish and a few mangrove snappers. To top it off, we even hooked a king mackerel and one of the boys caught his bucket list fish, a cobia! I definitely recommend 5 hours or longer if you really enjoy fishing and to give yourself enough time to fish different areas. This will not be our last charter with Captain Matt!
We had a great time with Captain Matt over the weekend. We caught tons of fish. My son (7) and his friend (11) caught fish the entire trip. Captain Matt was incredible with the kids and took great care of us. It is apparent that Cap. Matt is extremely familiar with fishing the area. I highly recommend this charter and will fish again with Cap. Matt next time I am in the Destin, FL area. Thanks again Cap. Matt, the trip was AWESOME!!!!
We had a great time today with Captain Matt. We caught tons of fish. My arms are so sore from catching fish. Captain Matt took great care of us and he is very knowledgeable about the fishing in this area. I highly recommend this charter Captain.

Captain Matt and his deck hand Caden were absolutely phenomenal. They work hard to make the experience the best it can possibly be. We went in the morning and it started slowly. You could hear Capt Matt talking to other boats on radio and all were struggling. He kept at trying spot after spot until we got on some snapper and we eventually limited out. Caught a ton of other fish as well. The fam had a terrific time. Highly recommend for private and intimate charter.
Early morning fishing trip out of Destin on the opening day of red snapper season caught our limit within a few hours then tried some trolling and other types of fishing. Amazing! Captain Matt is friendly and skilled. He really took the time to explain what is different about gulf fishing and what we needed to be successful. Me and my girlfriend had a blast.
I had the pleasure of taking a charter with 850 Charters. Captain Matt was fantastic. Safety was his number one priority and that was great to see. It was a great experience for myself and my son's. Captain Matt was extremely knowledgeable about the area and really made the trip worthwhile. He was great with my son's who he helped with fishing and reeling the fish up. I can't state enough how great this experience was for me and my son's. We will definitely be booking here again. I would highly recommend this Destin Fishing Charter.
